Summary:

Twelve thousand years ago, after the fierce battles with Aquarions that became legendary... People are living in fear from the abduction of Abductors who descend from another dimension. Aquarea, the joined weapon opposes to this. Dating and unification between guys and girls are prohibited even with that crafts as well as the elements candidates from the school. However the fateful encounter between the lonely guy Amata and a girl Mikono changes everything. Now love prohibited, new Unification Legend is ready to activate!

Amata Sora

 The male protagonist whose element power is levitation. It can be channeled within the Aquarion allowing it to have flight capabilities. Unable to control his powers as it activates every time he is scared or excited, he wears special boots with weights so as to prevent his element power in case it accidentally activates. As a child, people thought of him as a freak thus shunned his ability until he used it to protect Mikono from an attack of the Abductors and took control of a vector, broke the seal Aquaria has in place to prevent Union between male and female and call upon the true name to invoke Aquarion Evol. It is shown that he has "Wings" on his feet, which imply that he is a bearer of the "Solar Wings" just like Apollonius and Apollo. He is somehow hated by Cayenne Suzushiro since he is the reason why Mikono Suzushiro gets close to the Aquarion. Kagura stated that he has no smell.


Mikono Suzushiro

The female protagonist who comes from a famous and long lineage of element users, but is believed to not have any element power unlike her elder brother. Though, others believe that she has the ability to magnify the element power of Elements piloting Aquarion. She became shy towards other people due to the fact that she is the only one in her family without an Element Power. She also has a pet rabbit as stated by her and could hide in her hair looking like a hair accessory. In one episode where they are grouped into three people attached with a band with a ring that measure emotion, she is shown to be jealous when Zessica Wong gets too close Amata Sora, jealously stating that he could fly with anyone besides her. Despite gradually falling in love with Amata, she somehow feels herself attracted to Kagura, a union deemed forbidden by Zen Fudo and disastrous by her brother Cayenne who had an ominous and enigmatic vision of her wedding him dressed in mourning clothes. Kagura stated that she stinks deliciously.


Zessica Wong

A female student who took an interest on Amata and likes to tease him, much to Mikono's displeasure. In the first episode, she state that the unification with just girls are boring and wants to try doing it with boys, resulting with MIX and Suomi scolding and lecturing her on how it is impure. Her power is the ability to shoot an Energy Blast shaped like a hand, shown when teaching Amata Sora the basics of piloting Aquarion Evol on it's debut. She has a fear of supernatural things, like ghosts, and tries to hide it behind a scowl, leading her to grab Amata and shouting "Don't leave me" which caused misunderstanding.


Cayenne Suzushiro

Elder brother of Mikono. He is popular and known among the girls of the academy. His element power is called Prophecy of Despair which allows him to foretell when disaster is about to befall those near him, and makes use of it to perfect his sniping skills. Tried his best to protect his little sister as he had vision of her dying and her death has connection with Aquarion. He is a bit annoyed and pissed with Amata Sora since Amata is the one that brings Mikono Suzushiro closer to the Aquarion.


Andy W. Hole

Wielding the element power of earth, Andy can find a weak point on any structure in order to collapse it. From all the boys at Neo-DEAVA, he is the most eager to make contact with the girls, resulting in him digging an underground passage to pass under the wall that separates the Girls and Boys section of the school. He is responsible for the new seat arrangement for their class. He calls MIX's large breasts as cannons.


Shrade Elan

The most popular and the top student of the academy, who is never sent out in Aquaria due to his poor health. His element power uses the medium of sound to control the emotions of others. Has a calm yet mildly sadistic personality. It is stated by Donar Dantes that among the students that he possesses the strongest Elemental Power, however this offset by the fact that piloting the Aquarion would consume his life force, a fact proven when he lost consciousness and becomes pale after the battle with Kagura Demuri at Neo-Kowloon. He is the first person to use Vector Y as the head resulting into Aquarion Spada.


Malloy Direzza

A black guy who's powers are still unknown. He is one of the students together with Amata and Cayenne who participated in the Mock Exam.


MIX

A strict and serious student that shows disgust towards the opposite sex, she claims that men are unneeded to battle the Abductors. Andy W. Hole is usually the most annoyed by her misandry despite he finds her very attractive.



Sazanka Bianca

A girl that looks like an Indian. She is partnered with Cayenne Suzushiro and Shrade Elan in the Emotion Test conducted by Neo-DEAVA on Neo-Kowloon. Like her fellow girl students she admires both Cayenne and Shrade, resulting in her being electrocuted by the device used in the Test. This implies that her attraction may be a desire towards seeing them attracted to one another. In one episode she becomes so excited that Shrade and Cayenne are going to sit together possibly hinting that she's a Fujoshi and is into BL or Boys Love.


Yunoha Suroor

A cute but very shy female Element user. Her element ability turns her invisible which make her transparent to light, which can extend to Aquarion itself for a moment at a time, but typically involves her turning herself invisible, while her toy frog doll remains visible. Her ability becomes the key in defeating Jin an his Radius Gnis, rendering his laser gun incapable of touching and damaging the Aquarion. As a result, when she moves, it tends to seem as the doll is being levitated. Because of her shyness and invisibility, no one, boy or girl, in her class knew who she was, or that she was even human, before she piloted a Vector to form Aquarion.

                                               Neo-DEAVA

Donar Dantes

A veteran soldier and chief of Neo-DEAVA's male academy. He uses a pair of prosthetic arms to replace those he lost on a disastrous incident when he piloted Aquarion on its first sortie against the Abductors 8 years before. This also resulted in the disappearance of the other two pilots (including his girlfriend). He is a sharpshooter and is capable of using a small blowgun at a distance with ease and precision as shown when he is watching over Amata from afar during the test at Neo-Kowloon.


Suomi

Dressed as a nun, she runs Neo-DEAVA's female academy. Like MIX she is completely against the unification of both girls and boys.


Zen Fudou

An enigmatic character who is the supreme commander of Neo-DEAVA and offers guidance to the elements to help them attain their full potential, in a fashion similar to Fudo Gen in the original Aquarion series. According to him, the incident involving Donar was caused by having two Elements in love piloting Aquarion together as a consequence of Apollo and Silvia's separation 12,000 years before, but to bring forth the true power of Aquarion, the Elements must have strong feelings for each other that must never develop into love.


Crea

Despite being still a child, she is a genius with an IQ beyond 300 and the chairwoman of Neo-DEAVA academy. She is the one responsible for recruiting Shrade Elan. She is responsible for giving the signal of approvement for the unification of the Vectors.

The elusive and mysterious commander of the Altair forces.


Kagura Demuri

One of Izumo's two subordinates, and the man whom Cayene saw beside Mikono in his "wedding in mourning clothes" vision. Upon feeling Mikono's scent, he claims "he found his wench" and thus is determined to claim her at all costs, going as far as searching for her on board his Misla Genis. His sense of smell is so strong that he could track someone similar to that of canines. When on board his Misla Genis his sense of smell is so strong that he could even smell the pilot of the Vectors. For some reason, his appearance, attitude and behavior resemble those of Apollo, the protagonist of the original Aquarion series.


Jin Muso

Izumo's other subordinate and second in command, who prefers to employ furtive tactics against his opponents in contrast to Kagura's direct approach. He is calm and a good analyst, capable of getting data essential to counter the Aquarion. He uses datas he gathered in simulation which he then uses in combat. He's quick thinking allows him to execute his attacks and strategies perfectly. He is also a sharpshooter, able to shoot outside Vega's atmosphere using a spiniping rifle and shooting at the earths atmosphere with 0.0003% error. He is the one responsible for the creation and maintenance of Altair's machines used for harvesting and combat. He is called as the last son of Altair by Izumi.


Mykage Towano

A mysterious entity who was sleeping in a glass-like coffin and has a striking resemblance to Touma, the antagonist of the original Aquarion series. He seems to have some connection to the incident involving Aquarion 9 years ago.
